Anna F. Pflieger, age 78, of Republic, OH and formerly of Willard, OH, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the St. Vincents Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. She was born August 4, 1935 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Hack and Doratha (Moore) Moore. She was an employee with Pioneer Rubber Co. in Willard, Ohio for 38 years. She was a member of the Willard VFW, American Legion, Eagles and a member of the Tiro United Baptist Church.
She is surived by one sister, Marie Moore; her two sons, Dwayne (Aleta) Lykins of Republic and Joseph (Layne) Pflieger of Los Angeles, California; two granddaughters, Cecilia M. and Liliana W. Pflieger; 3 step granddaughters Heather, Amanda and Leah and 4 step great grandchildren Brennan, Alexis, Drew and Ryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Pflieger, whom she married in 1971; parents, Hack and Doratha Moore; one sister, Ina Mae Kooken and one brother, Jimmy Moore.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 6:00PM – 8:00 PM where the funeral services will be held on Saturday October 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Merlin Dye officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio. We are so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing, Joe. She was a lovely lady and I always enjoyed talking with her. I will always remember her smile and sincere interest in how Chris was doing. She was very proud of you and told me she was glad you became a teacher. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
To the family of Sister Anna F. Pflieger, we loved her with all of our heart, and will miss seeing her at church. Our love and prayers goes out to everyone of you. You have loss a great rose, but heaven gained an angel.
So sorry to hear about Anna. I worked with her at pioneer and she was a good friend. I loved it when we ran into each other. I so loved talking
talking to her. She will be missed.
