Roger Sloan, age 61, of Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at The Willows at Willard, Ohio. He was born on February 9, 1952 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Howard A. and Margaret (Pittenger) Sloan. He enjoyed scroll saw wood carving as his hobby.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce (Paul) Gase of New Haven, Ohio and brother Loyd (Jeanne) Sloan of Olivesburg, Ohio; 5 nieces and nephews, Nathan Sloan, Paige Pond, Colleen Gase, Sharon Lewis and Marcia Gase.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne Sloan Gregory.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mt Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to The Willows at Willard. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
He fought the good fight. So sorry to see him go. Sending sympathy to the family of Roger. Free Road won’t seem the same without a Sloan living on it.
