Greetings to you all…
Gene has been a very special friend to us for many years. We have many fond memories of times spent together.
It was our intention to be there to attend calling hours and visit with you all. We are so sorry that we were unable to make the trip.
I (Steven) was called to work on both Monday and Tuesday and being so new into a new business, I could not turn away the call. Susan is working on Tuesday as well.
Know that you are ALL in our prayers as you grieve that loss of such a wonderful man. Heaven is a richer place with Gene being there. We will miss his friendship dearly.
You have our contact information – PLEASE stay in touch.

I grew up in the Willard Nazarene church. Both Gene & Martha loved & nurtured so many people in the Willard community and sure did mean a lot to many in our little church. He is with his saviour now.

John & Nina Gillenwater - Feb 12, 2010

We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Gene was a first cousin to my father, Otha Gillenwater. We always enjoyed it when Gene, Atha and Virgina stopped to visit with us when he came to Ironton. It was so nice to hear their memories of their childhood and early years here in Lawrence County. Our thoughts and prayers are with your families. Your father was a fine man who will be sadly missed.
