Barbara Ann Funk, age 67, resident of rural Shelby, Ohio passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. She was born on January 15, 1944 in Charleston, West Virginia to Larue and Lou (Patrick) Gullett and had been a life long Plymouth/Shelby resident. She was a 1963 graduate of Plymouth High School and retired from Guardian Manufacturing in Willard after 45 years. Barb played in several area golf leagues and was an outstanding bowler and adored her pets.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Funk, whom she married on November 9, 1984; a son, Rodney Hampton of Orlando, FL; step-son, Jason Funk of Boise, ID; granddaughter, Trinity; step-grandsons, Devon and Dante Funk; her parents; and a sister and brother-in-law, Deb and Terry Porter of Kenova, WV.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Friday, December 23, 2011 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM with Reverend Mitchell Jason officiating. Very sorry about Barb’s passing. I’ll cherish all the great memories we have from bowling and going to bowling tournaments. Perhaps the time you two set the smoke alarms off at the hotel????? Barb always had a good time at whatever she was doing and lived life to the fullest. The animal world will miss her as well.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of Barbara. We all know what a fight she gave and what a great person she was. In the many years I have known Barb she had become a very good friend. We will all miss her.
