Beatrice “Bea” Thornsberry, age 68, resident of Wakeman, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at her home. She was born on November 25, 1939 in Floyd County, Kentucky and had been a Wakeman resident for the past 21 years. She was a member of the Northern New Baptist Church in Goshen, Ohio and enjoyed quilting and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Thornsberry, whom she wed on May 31, 1958; five daughters, Teresa (Bill) McCuan of Cuyahoga Falls; Kathy Rindfleish of Barberton; Karen (Jim) Shireman of Jeromesville; Tonya (Bob) Woodford of Hudson, MI; Jody (Tracy) Belcher of Bluffton; one son, Howard Tracy (Ginny) Thornsberry of Cranberry Twp, PA; her mother, Bureda (Bentley) Hicks of Plymouth; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; seven brothers; four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Archie Greathouse; and four brothers.
Visitation will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 5-8 PM, and on Sunday from 4-6 PM with services at 6:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at the funeral home at 11:00 AM with Brother Hargis Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio.
