Betty Jo Oney, age 66, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Willard Mercy Hospital. She was born in Willard on December 17, 1948 to Edd and Velma (McGinty) Vanderpool. She retired from Diversified Assembly in Shelby. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth. Betty Jo enjoyed reading and cooking and loved daisies, lighthouses, and snowmen.
Betty Jo is survived by her three daughters, Tammi (Anthony) Hall of Raleigh, N.C. Angie Tuttle of Plymouth, Stacey Oney of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Chance and Skylar Tuttle, Jaden Oney, Maliyah and Kailynn Leroux; mother, Velma Vanderpool of Plymouth; one sister, Jane (Dean) Smith of Willard; a niece, Jari (Kevin) Amburgey of Shelby.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edd Vanderpool.
Friends may gather for a memorial service at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Ohio on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Blanche Tyree officiating. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

Tammi, Anthony, Angie, Chance, Skylar, Stacey, Jaden, Maliyah, Kailynn, Mom, Dean and Ruth Ann…I am sorry for your loss…I am at a loss for words on Aunt Betty Jo’s passing…she was like a 2nd mom to me over the years. You girls were the closest thing I had to having sisters. We had a lot of good times over the years. I pray that you all find peace in knowing that she isn’t stressing over anything anymore and that she will have no more anxiety attacks…she is finally at peace! I love all of you! May God comfort you in the days ahead…I am here if you guys need anything…don’t hesitate to ask!
