Carl D. Montgomery, age 63, resident of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital Medical Center in Toledo. He was born on January 22, 1949 in Marion, Ohio and had been a Plymouth resident the majority of his life. Carl was a 1967 Willard High School graduate. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam and retired as a mechanic from the Huron County Highway Department. He was a member of Norwalk and Willard V.F.W. and Plymouth American Legion and enjoyed gardening and tractor pulls.
Carl is survived by two children, Danny Montgomery and Carla Emerick, both of Port Charlotte, FL; four grandchildren; his mother, Phyllis M. (Wheeler) Montgomery of Plymouth; four brothers, Terry A. (Rhonda) Montgomery of Willard, Randall L. (Mun) Montgomery of Raleigh, NC, Ronald L. (Patty) Montgomery of Raleigh, NC, and David J. (Barb McDonald) Montgomery of Plymouth; two sisters, JoAnn A. (Michael) Manley of Pittsburgh, PA and Judy A. (Allen) Karl of Tiro.
He is preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Montgomery; a son, Richard Montgomery and a brother Michael Montgomery.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will follow at a later date. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.
