Carma Jean Siesel

Carma Jean Siesel, 86, of Ontario, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at The Willows at Willard. She was born on April 1, 1940, to the late Sylvester and Eleanor (Miller) Heydinger.  Carma was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society in New Washington, Ohio.  When Carma relocated from New Washington to Ontario, she attended Mass at St. Mary of the Snows in Mansfield, Ohio.

Carma will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family and friends. She was a talented cook and baker who enjoyed helping others. In her free time, she loved sewing, playing cards, camping, traveling, and spending time with those she loved. During her younger years, Carma played volleyball and the accordion.

Throughout her career, Carma worked for Shelby Mutual Insurance and RR Donnelley.

Carma is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Carl Edward Siesel, whom she married on September 26, 1959; her three sons, Jeff (Cindy) Siesel of Shiloh, Ohio, Doug (Marcia) Siesel of Troy, Michigan, and Dr. Brian Siesel of Los Altos, California; eight grandchildren, Andy, Abbey, Ashley, Kevin, Lindsay, Ethan, Alex, and Lauren; four great-grandchildren, Lily, Ryker, Jayden, and Jasper; her brother, Marvin (Carolyn) Heydinger; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carma was preceded in death by her grandchild, Jeremy Beaver, and her siblings, Johnny Heydinger, Neil Heydinger, and Lois Faeth.

Visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.  Condolences may be made to Carma’s family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
