Not to many days go by when I don't think of you. You are my father. Can't no one say any different you were there when someone else decided to not be. So many emotions run through my system when I think of you. Life with you was never dull. You were a man that didn't like to sit still. So many qualities I wish I had, so many I wish I didn't. Life is to complex to cast blame. But growing up I wanted to be like my dad. I wish things could have gone different in life. I wish you were still here. When we lost mom. My kids never got to meet grandma. Then we lost you and they never got to know grandpa. My grandpa gone both sides and grandma gone both sides. We got robbed of all these people. It's just not fair. I miss my family. And now we are so scattered and when we need someone there is no one. I miss having somewhere to go for the holidays. It sucks. But I am trying to make it better for my babies dad. Just know I will make things happen. It's 2023 I just turned 39 it's a miracle I'm alive. Been shot stabbed. Dead more times than I can recall. I don't know what's kept me here. But I feel a responsibility to help get things back on the better path for the future family. I'm gonna do better this year dad. In honor of you. It's a new day, a new beginning I'm gone to make things happen. Or die trying. That's what you done for me. Be proud and know I always forgave you for any wrong. And never hated you. Thank you for being my Dad. You didn't have to be. You didn't. But you did. Damn it I miss you.
