Harley L. Barber, age 81, of Shelby, Ohio passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby, Ohio. He was born December 25, 1934 in Salt Lick, Kentucky to the late Harley P. and Pearl (McFarland) Barber. Harley was a 1953 graduate of Shelby Sr. High School and was formerly employed at AMF in Shelby as a system analyst. He was a U.S. Veteran serving in the U.S. Marines.
He is survived by 4 children, Sherri Fagan, Kevin Barber, Steve Barber, Kathi Barber; 1 granddaughter; 2 great grandsons; 3 step grandchildren; 5 siblings, Bob Barber of Arizona, Ken Barber of Mansfield, Ralph Barber of Shelby, Evelyn Betts of Shelby, and Roy Barber of Michigan.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Joanne E. Barber; son, Tim Barber; 3 siblings, Roger Barber, Joyce Ann Barber, and Alice Hickerson.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., where a funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Bryan Schatzinger officiating.
