Christopher L. Stephens, age 53, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He was born on May 16, 1962 in Willard, Ohio to Russell and Ruby (Lykins) Stephens. Christopher was in the U.S. Army and worked as a journeyman at R.R. Donnelley’s for 33 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, but most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Ryman) Stephens, whom he married on July 26, 1996; 3 children, Dustin Wheeler of Willard, Megan (Jose) Contreras of Willard, Brandy Stephens (Dylan West) of Willard; 3 grandchildren, Brennon Contreras, Aiden Contreras, Lillian West; mother, Ruby (Lykins) Stephens; brother, Johnny (Ollie) Stephens; 5 sisters, Rhonda (Allan) Branscomb, Joyce (Hito) Alonzo, Lisa Stephens, Sheila Rowe (Dale Slater), Becky (Jackie) Slone; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Russell Stephens and a sister, Teresa (Stephens) Osborne.
Visitation will be at the Freewill Baptist Church in Willard on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. where a funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. at the church with Pastor Ron Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to a Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. Tammy – I am sorry to hear of Chris’ passing. He was always so sweet during high school and the years that followed at Donnelley’s. We are never prepared for the loss of a loved one, but God is always prepared to help us through our loss.
