Clinus Slone, age 51, passed away at his home in Willard on Saturday, August 15, 2009. He was born May 10, 1958 in McDowell, KY to the late Owen and Stellie (Caudill) Slone. He was a welder for Mayflower until his retirement. He was a member of Plymouth Legion and enjoyed playing cards.
He is survived by his wife and companion of over 30 years, Teresa (Moore) Slone; one son, Travis Clinus Slone; one daughter and her fiance, Amanda Mae Slone and Chris Felver; one grandson, Parker Keith Calhoun; one brother, Paul (Diana) Slone; four sisters, AfoGean (Ronald) Jones, Brenda (James) Hall, Lillian Sanders and Sharon (Brad) Jones; and also numerous loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Stellie Slone; one son, Chad W. Taulbee and one brother-in-law, Bob Sanders.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 5-8PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, August 19 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastors Danny Hamilton and Bobby Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, New Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com

TO THE SLONE FAMILY,
I JUST GOT ON THE INTERNET AND LEARNED OF THE PASSING OF CLINUS. HE WAS A CLASSMATE OF MINE AND I AM SO SORRY TO LEARN OF HIS DEATH.MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO ALL OF THE FAMILY.I KNOW HOW HURT YOU ALL MUST BE. I LOST MOM AND DAD JUST RECENTLY {JOE & BETTY LILLO} THE ONLY THING THAT KEEPS ME FROM GOING OUT OF MY MIND IS THE FACT THAT THEY ARE IN A MUNCH BETTER PLACE.THEY WERE SICK AND SUFFERED FOR SO LONG THAT IT WAS FINALLY A BLESSING WHEN GOD TOOK THEM HOME. WE ASK FOR BLESSINGS AND MIRICLES NOT REALIZING THAT SOMETIMES GOD TAKES THEM AND IT IS A MIRICLE THAT THEY AREN’T SUFFERING AMYMORE.GOD BLESS AND CLINUS IS WITH US ALWAYS IN OUR HEARTS.

We were so sorry to hear about Clinus. I just saw him last thursday! It was so nice to see him, we all hugged and offered my prayers to him and the family. He will be greatly missed!!
