Constance “Connie” M. Dials, age 58, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the MedCentral Shelby Hospital in Shelby, Ohio. She was born on September 21, 1955 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Marvin and Irene (Steinmetz) Hershiser. Connie was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchilren, family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Irene A. (Steinmetz) Hershiser of Willard; son, Eric Dials and his fianceé Cala Duncan of Willard; grandson, Damien Dials; granddaughter, Madelynn Dials; three sisters, Kathy (Dave) Souslin of Willard, Lisa Hershiser of Tiffin, and Paula Barnett of Willard; one brother, Dan (Sheila) Hershiser of Willard; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin L. Hershiser and her son’s father, Ewell Dials.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with the Rosary recited at 5:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Willard, Ohio with Fr. Eric Culler officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
