Danielle Elizabeth Bailey, age 10, of rural Shiloh, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. She was born on June 29, 2003 in Mansfield, Ohio. Danielle was a fifth grader at Plymouth Schools and enjoyed playing, riding her bicycle and most of all being with family.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Jennifer and Matthew Schrank of Shiloh; younger sister, Brooke Bailey; brother Brian; her father, Christopher Bailey and wife Ana Bailey of Willard; maternal grandparents, Karla and James Stidam of Plymouth; paternal grandmother, Flossie of Columbus; paternal grandfather, Kirby Bailey of Willard; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Douglas Boone and great grandfather Kenny Stidam.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 1:00 PM with Pastor Dan Clouse officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. I didn’t know Danielle. I work at the Norwalk Reflector and part of my job is preparing obituaries for publication. While this is the most unpleasant part of my job, when a child dies it is especially difficult. Please accept my condolences on Danielle’s death. From the tribute story I did, she sounded like the kind of person whom everyone would want to befriend.

I am so very sad to hear about Danielle. I had her in class last year and she was a quiet joy. My heart hurts and I pray for your family. I will forever remember her smiling face and her excitement for her school work. ?
