David R. Myers, age 67, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on October 14, 2015 in the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident last week. He was born on June 7, 1948 in New Haven, Ohio to the late Simon and Yvonne (Holzhauer) Myers and had been a Willard area resident most of his life. Mr. Myers served his country in both the US Army and re-enlisted with the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He had worked as a truck driver for several companies including Holthouse Farms.
He is survived by five siblings, Simon (Imogene) Myers of Ooltewah, TN, George Myers of Willard, Ruth Trushel of Willard, Dianne Myers of Shelby, and Patricia Myers of Willard; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Myers.
Mr. Myers’ spirit continues to live on, as he was an organ donor following his death.
A private graveside service will be held in the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio at a later date with full military honors conducted by the Willard American Legion Honor Guard. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
