David Ray McDonald, age 52 of Willard went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2022.  He passed away at home suddenly.  He was born May 3, 1969 in Shelby, Ohio.  He was very passionate about his love of his family and his friends.  He called himself “the live wire”. He was a thrill seeker who loved to ride roller coasters and loved to drink Pepsi.  Also, he loved his Steelers and was a lifelong fan.  He held different jobs in the area during his lifetime.  Most recently he worked for Discount Drug Mart in Willard.  He worked many years at McDonald’s in Willard at the drive thru.  He was known for his friendliness and affectionate smile.  He went through a bout of cancer, being diagnosed last May.  We rejoiced with him last month when he learned that he was “cancer free”!

David is survived by his father and bonus mother, Grady Ray and Christine McDonald of Florida.  His wife Diana McDonald of Plymouth.  His two sons, David Allen (Natallie) McDonald of Lamoure, North Dakota and Cory Ray (Tiffanee) McDonald of Rome, OH.  His bonus children Roy (Sara) McDuffie of Sylvania, OH and Roxanne (Ron) Carman of Libson, North Dakota.  Grandchildren Liberty and Kinley Lewis of Shiloh, OH Camden, Carson, Nevaeh McDonald of Lamoure, North Dakota.  Brylen and Kinsley McDonald of Rome, OH.  Sister, Rhonda (Richard) Holbrook of Willard, OH.  Brothers, George McMillion of Willard OH and Jeremy McDonald of Shelby, OH.  Bonus Sister and Brother, Nancy Brawley of  Arkansas and Michael McMillion of Arkansas.  Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother and bonus dad, Carol (Keesy) and Robert D. McMillion.  His grandparents Ronald (Dwight) and Gladys Keesy, Henry Grady McDonald Jr., Edward and Lorene Collins.  His special aunt, Mary Lucile Keesy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Willard Church of God, 4551 Willard West Rd, Willard with Bishop Gregory L Griffith officiating.  Calling hours will be Monday, May 2, 2022 from 5 to 8 pm  and 10:00 am until the time of the funeral on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Willard Church of God.  Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. In lieu of flowers you may make monetary donations to the family through Secor Funeral Home.
