Dorothea Arnold, age 88, resident of Plymouth, passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at the Twilight Gardens Nursing Home in Norwalk. She was born on June 20, 1917 in Plymouth, Ohio to the late Don and Marguerite (McBride) Echelbarger and had been a resident of Plymouth area most of her life. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1936. She retired from Techform in Shelby, Ohio. She was a member of the Mt. Hope Church in Shiloh, the May Flower Extension Club, the 55+ Club and the Gardening Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Smith of Willard; a daughter-in-law, Doris Arnold of Plymouth; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and six sisters, identical twin, Donna Dawson, Lucille Ross, Jeanette Broderick, Betty Gilger, Gertude Beaty, and Ella Jane Albert. She is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Arnold who passed away on December 15, 1966; her parents; son, Dudley Arnold; daughter, Connie Arnold; grandson, Tim Arnold; and brother, Mac Echelbarger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Friday, March 3, 2006 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Shiloh on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 10:30 AM with Rev. John Wanamaker officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh.
