Dorothy E. Studer, age 85, resident of New Washington passed away, Saturday, August 21, 2004 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a short illness. She was born October 6, 1918 in New Washington to the late John S. and Clara (Krebs) Rehman and had been a life long resident. A 1936 graduate of New Washington High School, she had been employed with the former Schwemleys in New Washington, a former salesperson for Fuller Brush and had worked at Bollinger’s Cut Rate in New Washington. She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, Golden Gems and the Garden Club.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Linda Studer of Hillard, OH; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sylvia and Samuel McBride of Westerville, OH; Rosemary Studer of New Washington; Maureen Studer of Grandview, OH; four granddaughters, Maren, Alyssa and Emily Studer, and Meredith McBride; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Studer on Sept. 1, 1996; two brothers, Hubert and George Rehman; one sister, Helen Keller.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Monday from 2-4 and and 6-8 PM where a vigil service will be held at 1:30 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial expressions can be made to the St. Bernard Catholic School Endowment Fund.
