Edna L. Hargrove, age 82, resident of Willard, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Willard Healthcare Center. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Willard, Ohio to the late Christopher and Sadie (Johnson) Smith and had been a resident of Willard most of her life. She is a member of the First Baptist Church in Willard where she was a Sunday school teacher and a Mother of the Church.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bradford and Vonna Smith of Mansfield; Greg and Kim Hargrove of Willard; one daughter, Lolita Harris of Willard; eight grandchildren, Jamelle, Bryson, Yvette, Trenton, Kesha, Sade, Mariah and John; five great grandchildren, Isaiah, Amya, Janya, Moses and Issiana; a son-in-law, Robert Harris of Willard; six sisters, Ida Rose Smith of Cleveland; Maxine Thompson of Willard; Sadie Hayes of Cleveland; Mary Davis of Atlanta, GA; Martha Smith of Cleveland; Lillian Gregory of Plymouth, MA; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Hargrove; seven brothers, Harold, Willis, John, Lee, Chris, L.H. and J.C. Smith.
Friends may call at the First Baptist Church on Elizabeth Street in Willard on Friday, July 6, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Saturday at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeffrey Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Greewood Cemetery in Willard.
