Edward Cole, age 79, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. He was born on June 11, 1934 in Willard to Vincent “Doc” and Lillie (Barnett) Cole. Edward was a former employee of Fate-Root-Heath in Plymouth for 22 years and a supervisor at Holthouse Farms in Celeryville. He enjoyed camping, fishing, cards and going to church.
He is survived by his wife, Opal (Fletcher) Cole; 4 daughters, Mary (Mickey) Eckert of Claypool, IN; Lillie (Elmer) Keen of Mt. Gilead; Geraldine (Chester) Tuttle of Willard and Linda (Frank) Myers of Wakeman, OH; son, Paul (Kathy) Cole of Claypool, IN; 16 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
His is preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Larry Cole; 3 grandchildren, 1 sister and 1 half-brother.
Friends may call at the Victory Temple Church of God in Celeryville, Ohio on Monday, March 31, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a service at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00 A. M. with Pastor Earl Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. So sorry to hear of Ed’s passing.
Comforting to know that Ed is now pain free with his resurrection body.
My father (Bob Cole) is in the hospital (pneumonia & infection), sad that he and mom can’t be with your family during this very difficult time.

So sorry for your loss. I know how it hurts to miss a parent and I also know what it’s like to watch them suffer. May peace with u to know he is no longer suffering and is at rest. My thoughts are with you all. Ed was a good man.
