Edward "Ed" Garcia, age 62, of New Haven, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was born on January 1, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Lawrence and Minnie (Stone) Garcia. Ed was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed working on old Mopar's and watching old westerns, especially John Wayne. Ed loved to visit his grandchildren in Florida. He was a very patriotic man and loved his country.

He is survived by his soul mate of 27 years, Kim (Thompson) Garcia of New Haven; four children, Jessica (Matt) Caporini of Mansfield, OH; Danielle (Rich) Solomon of Valrico, FL; Michael Garcia of Plant City, FL and Kenneth Garcia of Plant City FL; three grandchildren, Andrew and Addison Solomon and Lucas Garcia; a brother, Manuel Garcia; a sister-in-law, Florence Mundy; a father-in-law, Robert (Pat) Thompson; sister-in-law, Kelley Keaton; grand mother-in-law, Shirley Hutchinson and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Mundy and Tom Garcia; a sister, Lillian Stephenson; a sister-in-law, Deedee Garcia; and a mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Cynthia (Everett) Eckstein.

Calling hours will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, from 1:00 - 3:15 PM on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 where his funeral service will be at 3:15 PM with Pastor Ricky Branham officiating. Danielle and the boys...I am so sorry for your loss. Haven’t seen or spoken to Uncle Ed since Grandma’s (GG’s) funeral. However, I am very sorry and know y’all are in my prayers.
