Enoch C. Buffington, age 73, resident of Adario West Rd., Shiloh passed away Wed., March 3, 2004 at the MedCentral Hospital in Mansfield. Born July 8, 1930 in Medina County, Ohio to the late William and Ruth (Brown) Buffington and step-father, Robert Sheldon, he had been a Shiloh resident for over 38 years. Mr. Buffington had been employed with the former Wilkins Air Force Depot in Shelby and retired from MTD Manufacturing in Shelby. A veteran of the US Army he served during the Korean Conflict stationed in France.
He is survived by his wife, Mable M. (Shepherd) Buffington whom he wed April 5, 1951; two sons and daughters in-law, Calvin W. and Connie Buffington of Stanton, KY; Arvel R. and Melissa Buffington of Shelby; four daughters and sons-in-law, Melody and Terry Boyd of Shiloh; Magdalene and Maurice Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN; Cynthia and Ottis Bradford of David, KY; Eva and Tim Stumbo of Plymouth; 25 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Wilma Buffington of Bucyrus; one sister, Marilyn Shepherd of Shiloh; nieces nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Cole and one brother, William Buffington.
Friends may call at the Pentecostal Holiness House of Fellowship on SR 103 in Celeryville on Friday starting at noon. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday at 12:00 PM with Pastor Darren Shafer officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth assisted the family with arrangements.
