Ethel Dye, age 94, resident of Shiloh, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at her home. She was born on August 10, 1918 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Bobby and Judy (Perry) Gayheart. Ethel was a member of the Baptist faith throughout all of her life. She was a quilter, homemaker, and bingo player.
Ethel is survived by her four daughters, Marlene Sword of Apollo Beach, Florida, Polly Lipps of Hamilton, Ohio, Judy (Don) Guffy of Hamilton, Ohio, and Jackie Merle (Randy) Bollinger of Boca Raton, Florida; six sons, Lawrence (Kaye) Dye of Sebring, Florida, Willie Dye of Attica, James Dye of Attica, John Dye of Plymouth, Gregory (Esther) Dye of Monroeville and Rodney (Glenda) Dye of Greenwich; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Dye; three children, Freda Dye, Hester Dye, and a baby boy; and three brothers, Willie, Walker, and Milford Gayheart.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Merlin Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Shiloh, Ohio. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com.

So sorry for your loss, your Mom was the kindest woman. I remember her sitting on her front porch in the summer and she always had a smile on her face. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Prayers are with you all.

When we first moved to Shiloh, we lived on Church St. Your mother and Mrs Reynolds use to give my son, Doug, cookies when he rode his tricycle down to their house. She was a sweet lady.
