Eugene “John” Conley, age 71, of Shiloh, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at the MedCentral Hospital in Shelby following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on June 5, 1933 in Magoffin County, Ky. and had been a resident of Shiloh for the last 50 years. He was a member of the House of Fellowship Church in Celeryville. He was retired from the Conrail Railroad.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Conley; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Angelia & James Adams and Brenda Perkins of Shiloh; 8 sons and daughters-in-law, Vaughn & Susie Conley, John & Lanetta Conley, Delbert Conley, Mark & Peggy Conley and Larry Conley all of Shiloh, Michael & Edith Conley of Greenwich, Raymond Conley of Mansfield and Andy Conley of Shelby; 25 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother, Arvil Conley of Akron.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Riley and Fannie (Bailey) Conley; daughter, Anita Conley; a sister and 6 brothers.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. on Wed. and all day Thursday at the House of Fellowship in Celeryville, where the funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Mabel Buffington officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh. Memorials may be made to the family.
