Roy E. Collins, age 70, of Base Line Road, Plymouth, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN due to an automobile accident. He was born May 5, 1934 in Minnie, Ky and has lived in Plymouth for over 50 years. He had worked for G.M. in Mansfield and was a member of the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth. He was a Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores (Stevens) Collins, who he married Sept. 4, 1957; 4 daughters, Vicki Collins of Norwalk, Kathy Welfle of Norwalk, Deatra Jones of Hawkinsville, Ga. and Lorna Collins of Shelby; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Verda Shepherd of Plymouth and Hazel Pullum of Plymouth; brother, Eurmlee Collins of Florida.
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Siefas and Artie (Tuttle) Collins; 2 sisters, Virgie King and Irene Storie; brother, Bill Collins.
Visitation will be after 4:00 P.M. on Sat. and all day Sunday at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth, where the funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Elder Buddy Carty officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth. Memorials may be made to his church.
