Evelena Brown, age 90, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the Willows at Willard. She was born on May 26, 1928, in Hueysville, Kentucky, to the late William Gibson and Millie (Moore) Sallee and has been a Willard resident all of her life. Evelena loved sewing, fishing, and canning, but most of all, she loved her family, especially her great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Rose Maye of Willard and Ruth Howard of Hueysville, Kentucky; one son, Charles Gibson of Willard; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; 2 step brothers, Ronnie and Charles Sallee; and 2 step sisters, Betty Sparkman and Ann Polachek.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lovel C. Brown; sons, Roger Brown and Clarence "Eddie" Brown; a daughter in law, Kathy Gibson; and three brothers, Chester Gibson, Eddie Gibson, and Gordon Duncan.
Visitation will be at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM, where her funeral service will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Pastor George Boyer officiating.
