Flora Jean “Jeanie” Michalski, age 70, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her home in Wickenburg, Arizona. She was born in Willard, Ohio on December 20, 1943 to Elizabeth Risner and Carl Adams.
Flora is survived by her husband, Thomas Michalski of Wickenburg, AZ; son, Thomas (Allison) Michalski, Jr. of Willard, OH, sisters, Shirley Holmes of Willard, OH and Donna Bareiter of Wickenburg, AZ. She was also blessed with 7 grandchildren, Taylor, Zachary, Addie, Chase, Kimberly, Casey and Andrew; and 1 great-grandchild, Ariana. She is also survived by nieces, Carla Hranek of Wickenburg, AZ, and Scarlett (Bob) Adams of California; nephews, Ted Hill of Michigan and Mickey Adams of Stueben, OH.
She is preceded in death by 2 sons, Michael Anthony Michalski and Jason Andrew Michalski; and a brother, Richard Adams.
Flora spent most of her life in Willard, Ohio and in 2005 she and Thomas moved to Wickenburg. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her life as a mother and wife. She enjoyed reading and loved to go camping. Flora and Thomas recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in July. They were married July 4, 1964.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Roger Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Just read the Willard Times and saw Jean’s obituary! I just mailed a Christmas card to her and Tom yesterday! So saddened to hear that my childhood friend has passed away. Jeannie & I grew up together on Spring Street and had some good times & lots of laughs!! The best was staying up on Saturday nights watching scary movies on TV (with our popcorn & Pepsi). To Shirley, Donna and to the rest of Jeannie’s family; I pray that God grants you strength, courage and grace during this difficult time.
