Floyd F. Schoen, age 80, of Republic, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home, Willard. Floyd was born December 29, 1934 in West Lodi to Walter and Francis (Holmer) Schoen. He married Mary (Keegan) Schoen November 3, 1954. They were married 60 years. Floyd worked at MTD in Willard for 32 years, retiring in 1994. He was a lifelong farmer, and loved the Cleveland Indians team.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of Republic; son, Fred (Christy) Schoen of Attica; daughter, Deb (Ted) Hedgepeth of San Antonio, Texas and two grandchildren he adored, Brock and Sam Schoen of Attica, and many more grandchildren with 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerald Schoen and a son, Gary Schoen, and beloved cat, Socks.
A private viewing for immediate family was given before burial at Reed Assumption Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillside Acres Nursing Home, Southern Care Hospice, American Diabetes Association, Alzheimer’s Association or Charity of Donor’s Choice.
