Frances “Frannie” Bishop, age 97, resident of New Washington, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in Heartland of Bucyrus Nursing Home. She was born on March 2, 1910 to the late Louis and Mary (Eberl) Hoehn and had been a resident of New Washington most of her life. She was a member of the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church and a member of the Rosary Altar Society.
She is survived by five children, Janice and Thomas Krupp of Tiffin, Ronald and Betty Bishop of New Washington, Larry and Velma Bishop of New Washington, Doris Arnold of Plymouth, and Shirley and Leroy Burkin of Clyde; 23 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; three sisters, Loretta Bishop of Mansfield, Lucille Hartman of Toledo, and Gertrude Bishop of New Washington; and one brother, Cornelius Hoehn of St. Petersburg, Florida.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clemence B. “Clem” Bishop; her parents; one daughter, Alice Decker; one sister, Josephine Miller; and one brother, Roma Hoehn.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Monday at 10:30 A.M. with Father Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, St. Bernards School Endowment Fund or to the donor’s choice.
