Gene Nead, age 74, of Willard, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008 at his home. He was born February 13, 1934 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Floyd and Arlene (Hoose) Nead. He was a brakeman for the CSX Railroad in Willard, retiring after 43 years. He loved deer hunting, fishing and trapping.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janis (Holmes) Nead; three daughters, Norma Jean White of Willard, Sharon Kay Swick of Shiloh and Debbie Ann Stover of Willard; two sons, Robert Allen Nead of Mansfield and David Joe Nead of Willard; 16 grandchildren; 27 grat-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Nead of San Diego, CA.
He is preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Arlene Nead; one grandson; one great-grandson; and one brother, Floyd Nead, Jr.
Friends may call at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio Wednesday, October 8, 2008 from 12 Noon until 2 PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at 2 PM.
