Glenn Hicks Sr., age 75, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Willard Health Care Center. He was born on February 26, 1934 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Dan and Susie (Wright) Hicks. He was a member of the Willard VFW and was a Korean War veteran.
He is survived by five daughters, Linda Horne of Richmond, KY; Brenda Castle of Paintsville, KY; Barbara Castle of Paintsville, KY; Patricia Van Hoose of Willard; Angela Castle of Paintsville, KY; three sons, Glenn Hicks, Jr. of Dawson Springs, KY; Danny Hicks of Willard; Michael Hicks of Willard; three brothers, Willis, Carl and Jackie Hicks; four sisters, Nancy Hicks, Ruth Moore, Ruby Risner and Rita Keesey; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel Hicks who passed away on June 24, 2004; five brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Monday, April 13 from 2-4 and 6-8P.M. and Tuesday, April 14, from 2-4 and 6-8P.M.. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11 A.M. with Reverend Tom Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. I am sad at your loss of your father, grandfather, brother, Uncle.
I can not imagine the pain you feel now but I wanted to let you know that our thoughts are with you.
He will missed by, not only myself, but also by his grandchildren, Bianca & Justin, as well as Heaven & Jazmyn, who thought the world of him as well. He was kind, caring, loving & thoughtful equally towards all 4 children. We will never forget him.
