Harlan G. Conrad, age 80, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1929 in Keyser West Virginia to the late Andrew and Sylvia (Kimble) Conrad. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. Mr. Conrad worked for the B&O Raiload and retired from Chessie Systems Railroad where he worked as a carman. He attended the Willard Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Rexrode) Conrad; three sons, Dave (Virginia) Eavey of Norwalk, Andrew (Becky) Conrad of Estero, FL and James (Hilda Tackett) Conrad of Willard; five grandchildren, Dawn Lofland, Heather Zweizig, Heidi Coppock, E.J. Tackett, and Brittany Tackett; two sisters, Dora Durst of Western Port, MD and Nina Mae (Thomas) Harris of Kettering, OH; one half sister, Phyllis Hines of Keyser, WV; one half brother, Herman Judy of Keyser, WV.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Floyd and Stanley Conrad and one childhood sister.
Friends my call on the Secor Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church at 11 AM with Rev. Jim Trainer officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
