Harold F. Courtright, age 82, died at his home on Sunday, June 15, 2008 after a long illness. Harold was born on January 20, 1926 in Custar, OH. He had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from Thomas Steel in Bellevue and had been a farmer with his wife for 58 years. He was a long-time member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard.
Harold and his wife, Rita (Bauman) Courtright had celebrated 58 years of marriage on June 10, 2008. They had been married at the St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Bismark, OH. Harold is also survived by his children, Sharon Speth of Columbus, OH, Kenneth Courtright of Willard, OH, Donna Noviski of Port St. Lucie, FL, Thomas Courtright of Toledo, OH, Joan Clapper of White, S.D., Paul Courtright of Delaware, OH, John Courtright of Fremont, OH and their spouses. Also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harold is preceded by his parents, Claude and Bertha (Browning) Courtright and brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The funeral mass will be Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard, OH with Fr. Stanley S. Szybka officiating. Burial will be at the St. Sebastian Catholic Cemetery in Bismark, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made for masses for Harold at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church or to the church of the donor’s choice.
