Harold Salyer, age 92, resident of Willard, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1919 in Bays, Kentucky, to the late Floyd and Emily (Holbrook) Salyer. He was a WWII Army veteran. Harold retired from Rockwell International in Knox, Indiana, where he made auto parts. He loved to fish, to hunt, his garden and most of all, being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Harold is survived by his daughter, Sandy Sword of Willard; son, Ronnie Salyer of Bradner, Ohio; one step daughter, Frances (Tony) Watkins of Willard; two grandchildren, Troy (Jenny) Sword and Ashley Sword; and four great grandchildren, Sommar, Troy, Ashton and Emalee.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Emily (Montgomery) Salyer; four brothers; and one sister.
Friends may call on Monday, October 1, 2012 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, from 11:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Bishop Greg Griffith will officiate.
