Harold Edison Sawyers, age 66, resident of Willard, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2004 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. He was born November 28, 1937 in Hindman, Kentucky to the late Woodrow and Zella Sawyers and had been a resident of Willard for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Living Truth Community Church in New Haven, Ohio and a past member of the Willard VFW and Willard Moose.
He is survived by his daughter, Shawanna and Don Lawrence of Willard; two grandchildren, Billy and Dakota Lawrence of Willard; one great grandchild, Caleb Lawrence of Lancaster, Ohio; one sister, Patty Jean Fields of Flat Rock, Ohio; two brothers, Thomas Sawyers of Bellevue, Ohio and Junior Sawyers of Green Springs, Ohio; special friends, Wanda and Bill Stickney of Willard and Betty Hill of Willard; and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Noma Sawyers; and one brother, Luther Sawyers.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard with Rev. Steve Sickel. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio. Memorial expressions may be made to the family.
