Henry L. Archer, age 91, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born on May 10, 1923 in North Baltimore, Ohio to the late Marion and Grace (Barber) Archer. Mr. Archer served in the US Navy during WWII and was later employed as a diesel mechanic with CSX Railroad. He enjoyed flea markets, gun shows and being a gunsmith.
He is survived by his wife, Marian (Whitcomb) Archer whom he married on September 13, 1974; three children, Greg (Judy) Archer of North Baltimore; Tim (Thora) Archer of Findlay; and John (Catherine) Archer of Findlay; four step children, Linda (Tom) Walker of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Rebecca (Roy) Battles of Pagosa Springs, CO; Kathy (Steve) Loney of Willard; and David (Barb) Kilgore of Edgewater, FL; numerous grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Mitchhart of Cincinnati; and Joan Sullens of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Elma Cromer; and a step daughter, Karen Maholm.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM where the funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM with George Theobald officiating. Burial will be held in the Old Maplewood Cemetery in North Baltimore, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made to any local Hospice. Online condolences can be made at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
