Huey Spears, age 72, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at his home. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Riceville, Kentucky to the late William Henry and Ora Lee (Ramey) Spears and had been a Plymouth area resident for over forty years. He retired from the Plymouth Locomotive Company after 32 years and was a member of the Willard United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Laney) Spears; a daughter, Tammy Botello of Shelby; two sons, Mark Spears of Shiloh; and Gregory (Amanda) Spears of Shiloh; five grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Spears of Swamp Branch, KY; and Paul Spears of Oil Springs, KY; two sisters, Neva Rodriguez of Willard and Billie Hinkle of Willard; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Mrytle Conley; and three brothers, Wm. Henry, Leonard and Wendell Spears.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Willard United Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.
