Idarose Mitchell, age 80, resident of North Fairfield, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 17, 2010. She was born on February 13, 1930 to the late Frederick W. and Gertrude R. (Long) Brown and had been a resident of the Willard, North Fairfield and Plymouth areas most of her life. She was a 1948 graduate of Willard High School and employed with the former Pioneer Rubber Company in Willard for 25 years and an employee of the YMCA in Willard for 7 years. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and Rebeccas for over 50 years.
She is survived by four grandsons, Chad Mitchell of North Fairfield, Mark Scott Mitchell of Greenwich, Lance and Kristin Mitchell of Greenwich, and Eric and Jill Mitchell of New London; ten great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Fran (Doug) Dittman; adopted grandsons, Chris and Shane Felver; one niece and one nephew; and many other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Dick” Mitchell on June 24, 2003; one son, Mark Mitchell; her parents; one brother, Rev. Jay Brown; and one sister, Florence Conger.
A graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio with Pastor Bryan Graham officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Southern Care Hospice. Secor Funeral Home in Willard assisted the family with arrangements.
