James A. Fleming, age 73, resident of Willard, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard, Ohio. He was born on February 29, 1940 to the late William Sr. and Mary (Johnson) Fleming and had been a resident of Willard his entire life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Willard, Ohio and was formerly employed by Brunswick Defense in Willard.
He is survived by 3 children, Mayra Fleming of Mattpan, Massachusetts, Jimmy Fleming of N.Y and Steven Fleming of Boston, Massachusetts ; brother, Webster Fleming of Cleveland; sister, Ida Mae Thompson of Mansfield; several nieces and nephews, great niece, Amy Colyer of Norwalk.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Mary (Johnson) Fleming; one brother, Bill Fleming; and four sisters, Ethel Lynn Weeks, Irene Beecham, Mary Watkins and Martha Doster.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio, where the funeral service will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Jeff Jones officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Willard, Ohio.
