James C. Holloman, age 62, of Plymouth, Ohio, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 10, 1957 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late James and Betty (Haverfield) Holloman. He was the former administrator for the Village of Plymouth and on the Village Council. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion, Post 447, in Plymouth. Jim was a big Ohio sports fan, following the Browns, Cavs, Indians and The Ohio State Football teams. He enjoyed working outside, puzzles and going to the grandkids games.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie (Horner) Holloman; 2 daughters, Crystal (Roby) Patton of Plymouth and Carla (Edgar) Angel of Willard; 2 granddaughters, Lydia Patton and Aurora Angel; 4 grandsons, Adrien Patton, Lucas Angel, Peyton Angel and Isaiah Angel; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Janice & George Kinsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Holloman; son, Matthew C. Holloman; father-in-law, Donald "Jack" Horner.

There will be a private funeral service at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. There will be a graveside service Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:30 PM at the Little London Cemetery in Shelby, Ohio with Brother Marty Carty officiating. Jim made a great santa. We had him for our Christmas in july family get together for 2 years. The first year we ask him to sing jingle bells and he started to sing jingle bell rock. We had to tell him wrong tune. What a great friend. Always there when you needed a hand. RIP!

I met Jim at Whitney Elementary in Shelby. We met again when a bunch of us went to Jamboree in the Hills in the late 90s. Over the years I would see him in various places around the area. Jim was always such a fun and caring guy. Many prayers for Deb and the rest of his family. RIP old friend.

I knew Jim from the old Oak St. neighborhood in Shelby in the late 60's...Myself, my brother Dana, Kevin Hemmerly, Mike Rabold and others had many, many fun times together and yes, got in a bit of mischief now and then too. Jim Holloman was a good man he was an awsome brother in law. I will certainly miss that smile of his. Jim was larger than life sometimes. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him from a Village Worker, to Village Administrator, to being on Village Council with him. Jim was a straight shooter and always was looking out for everyone. He was definitely a special man and will be missed.
