James Edward Stephens, age 62, resident of Wooster, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was born on September 27, 1954 in Jackson, Michigan to Frank Stephens, Sr. and Frances (Moore) Miller. James graduated from high school and went onto serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his daughter, Melanie (Joshua) Quinton; step daughter, Diane (Teddy) Sloan; 2 sisters; 4 brothers; niece, Sharon Stephens-Ritchie (Danny); great nephew, Jacob Ritchie; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother and a sister.
A Graveside service for James will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio with Brother Delmar Bailey officiating. Online condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
