James Junior Blackburn, age 84, resident of Willard, passed away on March 5, 2011 at the St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on February 26, 1927 in Endicott, KY to the late James and Alice (Derosit) Blackburn. James loved all types of nature, music, the outdoors, gardening, and everything he collected held a special memory.
James is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Joyce) Blackburn of Pippa Passes, KY, Dallas (Delia) Blackburn of Monroeville, OH and Donald (Ellen) Blackburn of Willard, OH; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one brother, Raymond Blackburn of Allen, KY.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mable Blackburn whom he wed on July 17, 1948 and passed away on February 27, 2007; his parents, James H. (Buddie) and Alice Blackburn; two sisters, Bertha Sellards and Emma Jane Roarke and seven brothers, Cecil Blackburn, Aderon Blackburn, Clyde Blackburn, Lewis Blackburn, Amos Blackburn, Emeral Blackburn and Russell Blackburn.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, OH from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the funeral home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ricky Branham officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, OH.
