Amy, Jane, and Jill, I am so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Growing up a couple houses down from you in New Washington, your mom was like a 2nd mom to all of us as we played for hours in the backyards, woods and playhouse! She was also a great nurse for all our minor injuries (physical and emotional). She was dearly loved and will be dearly missed! Have PEACE in knowing she is at home in heaven and comfort in all the memories!

Joyce springer - Feb 12, 2017

Dear Aunt Janet, It was a privilege and honor to know you and to be part of your family. I have many wonderful memories of you…when I was a kid you came out to the family farm and gave a new perspective on life…when Arden sang a Handel’s Messiah solo accompanied by you on the piano Impressive!… when I sat next to you in the alto horn section of the NW Town Band ( you played all the notes while I was rusty and missed a few)… when you baked delicious pecan pies. You were a great mother, aunt, nurse, musician, volunteer worker,& leader. Your democratic principles for human rights, social justice, healthcare for all people, environmentalism will be continued. So for now, I will miss you here on earth but feel your energy with many loved ones (especially Arden) who have already passed on. Peace and love and prayers, Joyce

Jill, Jane and Amy, so sorry for your loss. I have many many great memories of Janet. I remember she had a little notebook that she wrote in everyday a “good thought” for the day. Prayers for all of you.

Mark Ebbeskotte - Feb 11, 2017

My deepest sympathy to the entire family. I so much enjoyed the time I would spend with Janet as a fellow horn player in the New Washington band. I will miss her smile and her caring ways. Ever the nurse, I will never forget her prodding me to seek further medical attention with an infection I had a couple of years ago. Saturday night on the bandstand just won’t be the same without her. You are all in my prayers. May you take solace in knowing that she is resting in our Lord’s loving arms.

Yes Heaven gained a beautiful loving and caring angel. Her smile and gentle caring ways made all of us love her. To our boys Mitch and Mikel she was Grandma and they loved her dearly. Mitch said last night that he was going to miss her hugs. I told him he was blessed to have her in his life.
Our most sincere thoughts and prayers to those she left behind. We all loved her….Dick and Lorna and boys.
