Jean M. Stevens Phillips, age 78, resident of Willard, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in Willard Health Care Center. She was born on June 18, 1928 in Willard, Ohio to the late Jacob and Cecelia (Krick) Moomaw and had been a resident of Willard all of her life. She was a member St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking and her computer.
She is survived by two sons, Donald P. (Jan) Stevens of Willard and Douglas A. (Jo Ellen) Stevens of Connersville, IN; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two step sons, E. Wayne (Wendy) Phillips of College Park, MD and Darren Phillips of Mansfield, Ohio; two step daughters, Lori Ungerer of Mansfield and Cheryl (Terry) Conard of Mansfield; seven step grandchildren; and three sisters, Rita (Clair) Buckingham of Mesa, AZ, Rosemary Smith of Shelby, and Kathy (John) Schodorf of Willard.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Donald L. Stevens; her second husband, John “Jack” E. Phillips; her parents; and her brother-in-law, Roger Smith.
A graveside service will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 11:30 AM with Father Stanley S. Szybka officiating.
