Robert Jay Beagle, age 77, resident of Willard, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 in Willard Health Care Center. He was born on September 6, 1929 in Jackson Twp.,Hancock County, OH to the late Jay and Ancel (Crates) Beagle and had been a resident of Willard since 1956. He was a graduate of Mt. Blanchard High School in 1947. He was employed by the B&O Railroad in Willard, was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers for 35 years, Findlay Masonic Lodge, life member of NRA. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Beagle, whom he wed on May 28, 1956; two sons, Frank A. Smith, Los Angelos, CA; and Timothy Jay Sr. (Dawn) Beagle of Willard; two daughters, Sarah (Mark) Fox of Dublin, Ohio; and Carol Irene Renne of Bend, Oregon; step son, Daniel E. (Sharon) Fruth of Mt. Clemons, MI; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Cole of Orange, CA.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean Close; and brother, Morris Beagle.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8. Graveside funeral service will be held at the Houcktown Cemetery, in Houcktown, OH, on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with a masonic service and a military service.
