Condolences

Linda Elkins - Jan 11, 2015

My sincerest condolences to the family of Father Jerry. I took care of him and assisted him in his final days as priest at our church, St. Joseph in Alger, MI. He was always kind and gentle. His sense of humor always amazed me, he had wonderful insight to a vast amount of ideas that I would “bore” him with, while driving him around. It was my pleasure to have known him and able to serve him. I will treasure my memories of him for the rest of my days.

F. A. Gallagher - Jan 9, 2015

Family of Fr. Niedermier:
You have my prayerful sympathy of the death of your brother. In my five retirement years many times a year I stopped for a brief visit with him at the Ursuline Center; he always was a gentle, kind man.
I had mapped out my route from Sylvania Township and packed my vestments to come to his funeral today.Because of the road conditions I was afraid to drive down. I regret missing Jerry’s funeral; he deserved my respects. Sincerely, (Fr.) Tony Gallagher, Toledo
