Jo Anne Jones, age 80, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away at her home Thursday, June 25, 2009. She was born July 23, 1928 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Clinton and Gertrude (Kelch) Brickles and had been a Willard resident for 47 years. She was a 1946 graduate of Fostoria High School. She was a homemaker and had worked at the former General Electric in Tiffin and the Willard Lumber Company. She liked to read, crochet, do puzzles and play cards. She was also an avid fan of OSU sports and the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by her daughter, Noreen Jones of Willard; one brother, Jay Brickles of Green Valley, AZ and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Jones in 1994; her parents; three brothers, Herbert, Norman and Don Brickles; four sisters, Ethel LeComte, Elaine Erbland, Marjorie Fillhart and Leta Rice; and two nephews, Norman and Eugene Erbland.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 5-8PM where the funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jamie Stewart officiating. A private burial will be at the Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria, Ohio. Memorial contributions can made to the Stein Hospice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
Noreen: We were so sorry to hear of your Mom’s illness and just a day later she was gone. Forever will I remember and cherish the phone calls with your Mom, as well as the fun and laughter that we all shared with you both at Chris and Wayne’s house.
