Johnny Barnett, age 83, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away at home on Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was born on August 4, 1933 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Mellis and Molly (Barnett) Barnett. Johnny worked for the City of Willard in the Maintenance Department and enjoyed going to auctions and doing yard work.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty J. (Schaub) Barnett; 8 sons, Gary (Carla) Barnett of Willard, Eric (Renee) Barnett of Willard, Jimmy (Tracy) Barnett of Willard, Randy (Tammy) Barnett of Shiloh, Brian (Robin) Barnett of Willard, Ronnie Bentley of Willard, Kenneth Bentley of Willard, Mark Barnett of Willard; 2 daughters, Ladonna (Carlos) Cains of Clyde, Rochilla Morrow of Burlington, NC; 36 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; 5 step children, Diana Lindsey, Lorrie Barnett, Sherry Lyman, Pamela Campbell, Kenneth Huston; 12 brothers and sisters, Mary Lou, Katherine, Flossie, Ruth Ann, Loney, Justine, Lonnie, Junior, Kenneth, Russell, Richard, and Thurman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Barnett; 2 sisters, Cassie and Annie Lou; and a grandson, Damien Lindsey.
Friends may call at the Church of God in Jesus Christ, 4728 Mills Road, Plymouth, Ohio on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. where a funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ryan Tackett officiating. I am sorry for your loss, I hadn’t seen Johnny in many years but I remember staying with Rochilla and her mom and dad both treating me like family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
