Virginia E. Moore of Tiffin, (formerly of Shelby), Ohio, age 90, passed away October 28, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital Hospice Care, in Columbus, Ohio. She was born February 4, 1926 in Willard, Ohio to the late Roscoe and Leatha V. (Walters) Rudd. She was adopted by the late Harold and Gweneveire (Jacobs) Kemery. On September 18, 1942 she married William L. Moore at the Lutheran Church in Willard, Ohio. They were married for 68 years. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Willard, OH and Bradenton, FL hospitals. She enjoyed gardening and served as a president of her garden club. She served as a room mother, a den mother, an attentive grandmother, breast cancer survivor, and she possessed a melodious voice and enjoyed singing throughout her life.
She is survived by three sons, Bruce (Elizabeth) Moore of Rotondo West, Florida and Tiffin, Ohio, Ronald (Paula) Moore of Concord, North Carolina and Jordan (Kathryn) Moore of Mequon, Wisconsin; one daughter, Terri Hemminger of Westerville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Eric (Cindy) Moore, Jennifer (Franklin) Smith, Laura Moore, Heather (Michael) Scherzer, Hope (Heath) Fluharty, Chad (Sara) Hemminger, and Bridget Moore; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Richard E. Rudd and John Rudd and one grandchild, Ronald A. Moore.
Friends may call on the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will be October 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rex King officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
