Joseph M. Barack, age 76, resident of Holiday Lakes, Ohio passed away Friday morning, May 7, 2004 at his home. Born April 5, 1928 in Cleveland Ohio to the late Joe and Theresa (Merzig) Barack he had been a life long Cleveland resident moving to Holiday Lakes in 1988. Mr. Barack was a retired employee of PPG Coatings and Resins in Cleveland. He was a life member and Past Commander of the West Park Gilbert O’Neil VFW #2533 and a member of the John W. Barkley Masonic Lodge #621 F & AM. He was a US Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Florence (Beckwith) Barack whom he wed September 18, 1948; three daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia Traub of Lakewood, OH; Jane Grinnell of Noth Ridgeville, OH; Faith and Ray Barton of Grafton; one son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Diane Barack of North Olmsted; 10 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Frank Barack of Parma; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Helen and Elizabeth Barack.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Sunday from 2-5 PM and at the Sunset Memorial Park, Westwood Abbey Chapel on Monday from 10-noon. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel, with Rev. Chuck Behrens officiating, and burial immediately following. Memorial expressions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donor’s choice.
